Some personal tips for mining in Runescape. I am not going to do an extensive guide on how to mine, since Neet120 already did that in previous post. I will just give out a few pointers I found interesting for new players to know about. This guide is mainly for all players, I will note the difference when paid members get an advantage.
1. Go in naked. I don’t mean play the game naked, but have no equipment on, and carry only your pick axe.
2. You should always mined a full load, 28 ores for each run.
3. Raise your attack level so you can wield the highest possible pick axe.
Here are a list of pickaxes, their cost, and the level you need to wield it.
Type / Level / Cost
Bronze 1 1gp
Iron 1 140gp
Steel 6 500gp
Mithril 21 1,300gp
Adamantite 31 3,200gp
Rune 41 32,000gp

4. Do not mine ores you just learn to mine, since there are more competition for this ore type. And when you just start mining this new ore, your mining level is relative low to those competing with you. This obviously does not apply to paid members, since there are much less people in those server, which the problem of not enough ores will not apply to less crowed paid servers.
5. And if you are mining lower level ores, the more busy the world is, the better it is for you. Since the more players in the world, the faster the ores will respawn. For world 1, most of the time mining copper and tin ores’ camps are empty.
