Monster Hunter Frontier (MHF) – Beast, Dragon, Monster (Part 2)

In Part 1, i talked about the first 5 species, and in this posts, i will show you the rest of the species that appear in the game Monster Hunter Frontier. The remaining 4 species are Bird Wyverns, Flying Wyverns, Carapeceons and Elder Dragons.

Bird Wyvern

Hypnocatrice is a mid-sized Bird Wyvern with orange feathers. it has the ability of sleeping sac that put hunters and other monsters to sleep. Like other bird wyvern, it has more control of body movement. they have a deadly and accurate fighting style, and usually they has jump attack, claw attack which inflict surprising damage.

Flying Wyvern

The Gold Rathian are nearly the strongest species in Flying Wyvern, it is the subspecies of Rathian. Gold Rathian ‘s body is covered in hard gold shell which make it hard to attack without the weapon bouncing off. Flying Wyverns are all huge monsters, they have almost the highest attack in the game and they are super tough to kill.

Flying Wyvern’s weak spots are their head, their wings and tails. Some other players suggest that Hammer and Hunter Horn are effective weapons against Flying Wyvern because the impact damage is more effective in their weak spots. Golden Rathian is weakest to thunder elemenatal weapons  and Rathian can shoot fireballs and inflict poison damage by their tails.

Carapaceon

Carapaceon are crab-like species, with hard shell covered.  The Shen Gaoren is a giant Carapaceon with grey skin, towering legs and poison acid generated from the rear of its body. Because it is too tall, hunter can only attack ts legs and when the legs of Shen Gaoren become weakened, it became inflame and blood red, suggesting  it is damaged.

Elder Dragons

The last specie is Elder Dragon, it is no doubt the strongest, largest and toughest enemies in game. They are hard to search and also hard to kill. it usually takes more than 30 minutes for 4 skilled hunters to kill 1 Elder Dragon. The picture shows the Elder Dragon “Crimson Fatalis” also called the “Red Fatalis”  It always lurks in the depth of Volcanic Belt and also as their living environment.
